Your Kenya safari holiday begins at Nairobi where our representative will meet you and drive you to Lake Nakuru passing Lakes Naivasha and Elmenteita en route. You arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch and then depart for your first safari to Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon. Marvel at the Lake's famous flamingos and perhaps find rhinos grazing on the lakeshore (this Park is the nation’s largest rhino sanctuary). Return to the Lodge at dusk in time for a sumptuous buffet supper.
Lake Nakuru Lodge lies in the Great Rift Valley; in the heart of one of Kenya's most densely animal populated wetland national parks. The lodge is known to be one of the best lodges in Africa in terms of the location. It is not only a preferred destination amongst safari goers, but is also frequented by greater and lesser flamingos! Your stay here will be in a standard rondavel—an African-styled hut. Each rondavel features a comfortable queen bed, an en suite bathroom, and a private veranda. After a long day on safari, you can relax at the Mama Nikki Bar or the Rhino Paddock Cocktail Bar overlooking the lake. The lodge also features a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves everything from bush barbeques to sundowners.
Note: Safaris will be in a 6-seater Minivan.
Travel to Masai Mara National Reserve and spend the next two days here. Enjoy going on morning and afternoon safaris in Masai Mara National Reserve with registered guides.
Masai Mara National Reserve spreads out for about 1,510 sq km. It has the Serengeti Park on the south, the Siria escarpment to the west and Maasai pastoral ranches to the north, east and west. Along with the Big Five, spot wildebeests, zebras, Thompson’s gazelles, topis, elands, cheetahs, hippos, Nile crocodiles and other wildlife at Masai Mara. The park is a photographer's paradise and you get to capture some of Africa's unique wildlife and exquisite natural beauty.
One of the first safari lodges to be built in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Mara Sopa Lodge is located on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills. The architecture reflects the local style as all the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs. At the Mara Sopa Lodge you can relax on your private veranda, refresh with a swim in the pool, relax with sundowners at one of the lodge’s many bars and have dinner in the central restaurant.
Your Kenya wildlife tour ends today. You will drive back to Nairobi and enjoy lunch at the famous, meat-speciality Carnivore Restaurant. Later, you're transferred to Nairobi International Airport for your flight back home.
Requires a spirit of adventure and some degree of fitness, as the trip might consist of many activities or long journeys. These adventures involve walking, trekking, hiking, cycling, rafting, sea kayaking, or driving for long hours, at times for up to six to eight hours a day at a steady pace. The maximum altitude is 3000m, so it requires you to be reasonably physically fit because you may be travelling in extreme weather conditions. The trips are usually 6 to 12 days in duration.
