Start your Mexico holiday at beautiful Cancun in the Mexican Caribbean. Cancun, with its pristine beaches, fascinating marine life, and world-class holiday resorts, is the gateway to the Mayan world.
Stay at Hacienda Morelos in picturesque Puerto Morelos town (20kms away from Cancun) for the night. A charming beachfront hotel with a bohemian touch, Hacinda Morelos is located just a few yards from the world’s second largest coral reef barrier! Each inviting, spacious room has a splendid view of the Mexican Caribbean Sea. The restaurant, located next to the beach, serves delicious seafood, Mexican fare, and international cuisine.
You can either go snorkelling today or explore quaint Puerto Morelos town on ATV vehicles.
Explore Sian Ka’an Biosphere’s diverse habitat today. You may go kayaking, hiking, or snorkelling.
Today’s excursion takes you to Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for an action-packed day. Translated from Mayan, “Sian Ka’an” means "where the sky is born" or "gift from the sky". There are 23 known archaeological sites here with relics dating up to 2,300 years old. The unique geography and wetlands of the Reserve are home to 103 mammal species and 336 species of birds. Among its varied habitats Sian Ka’an hosts beaches, wetlands, savannah, dunes, coral, reefs, mangroves, cenotes (sinkholes), and lagoons!
Learn about the biodiversity here and participate in either kayaking through the wetlands, hiking through the jungle, or snorkelling in a cenote, depending on when you visit during the year. Then enjoy a late lunch at Don Cafeto, known for its scrumptious local cuisine, in Tulum town.
Explore Maya culture at Chichen Itza, a pre-Columbian city. End the day with a relaxing swim at the Ik Kil cenote.
Today you visit Chichen Itza to see the remnants of a large pre-Columbian Maya city. Chichen Itza is one of the New Seven World Wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There was a diverse population of people living here, resulting in the varied architectural styles you’ll see at the site. El Castillo, or the Temple of Kukulkan, is the most dominating step pyramid here with 365 steps, one for each day of the year. The Maya people not only invented the 365-day calendar but also had advanced astronomical skills with the ability to predict eclipses.
Then travel to Ik Kil, an open to sky sinkhole where you can enjoy a relaxing swim to end the day.
Swim with whale sharks or explore the historical sites of Coba and Tulum today, depending on the weather.

Summer activity (mid-May to mid-September): It’s time to check this off your bucket list: go swimming with whale sharks today! Swim and snorkel with this peaceful shark, the biggest fish of the world.
Winter activity (mid-September to mid-May): Visit the historical sites of Coba and Tulum. Learn about authentic Maya culture and traditions here. Coba was an important pre-Columbian city and has several temple pyramids located around two lagoons. Unlike Chichen Itza’s main pyramid, visitors are still allowed to climb the one at Coba. Tulum was one of the last built and inhabited cities of Maya. It is one of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites today and offers stunning views of the Caribbean.
Indulge in a host of activities at Xcaret eco-archaeological park.
Visit Xcaret, meaning “small river” in Mayan, today. This is an eco-archaeological park showcasing different aspects of the Maya culture and its traditions. It has ecological importance owing to its conservation efforts in the reproduction of regional flora and fauna. Choose from a variety of activities here:

Your Mexico tour ends today with a transfer to Cancun Airport for your flight home.
